Seamar appointed as agents for Titan Salvage.

Seamar has been appointed as agents for Titan Salvage. Titan will remove the wreck of the Vinca Gorthon. The vessel, 166 mtr long and 23 mtrs wide, sunk on the 29th of February 1988, 16 miles west of Petten, in the middle of the fairway. The wreck is laying on a depth of 24,5 mtrs and sticks 10 mtrs out of the seabed and is therefore an obstacle for vessels with a draft over 15 mtrs. Tital will use 2 jack-up barges, the Karlissa A and B, and a 120 mtr long scrap barge. Seamar hired a storage area of 15.000 m²  at Velsen Noord for a period of 8 months to support the operation. The wreck removal will commence in March and is to be completed before the 1st of November.
