Oceanteam Installer on geotechnical job
The cable lay barge Oceanteam Installer, owned by Oceanteam Shipping GmbH, departed Velsen Noord on the 18th of October to commence a geotechnical survey for the U.K. based company IDP ltd. A CPT unit was installed on starboard side in order to take seabed soil samples near the river Thames estuary. The barge is designed to work in shallow waters and can even be beached. The barge was towed to the work location by the tug Voe Chief from Delta Marine ltd.
